Power BI Connector for Monday.com

Installation Guide

To install the Power BI Connector for Monday.com app, click the button below

You will then see a page asking permission to install the Power BI Connector for Monday.com app on your monday.com | A new way of working instance.

Click the Install button to confirm the installation of the application.

By confirming the installation, you allow our application access to read the following data:

  • Read user’s boards data
  • Read user’s workspaces data
  • Read the profile information of the users on the account
  • Read updates and replies the user can see
  • Read the tags of the account
  • Read information about teams in the account
  • Create and modify webhooks
  • Read existing webhooks configuration

Now you can add our application to any of your boards.
To do this, open your board, click on the + and in the dropdown menu go to Apps


Next, find our plugin and click Open in board


After that, the plugin was successfully added to your board.

But in order to be able to work with the plugin data, you need to go through authorization


:tada: Congratulations, you can now use the Power BI Connector for Monday.com plugin without any restrictions.

Note: The connectors that you create for a specific board will only be displayed on it. For example, you have two boards Test 1 and Test 2 on which you create connectors. If you created a connector on the Test 1 board, then you will not see it on the Test 2 board

To upload data from monday.com to Power BI, you need to create a connector in the Power BI Connector for Monday.com plugin



If this is the first time you have installed our plugin on the board, you will see the start page.


If you previously had created connectors on the board, then you will see the following picture

Click on the Create Connector button


On the connector creation page, fill in the required Name field.

Also select the tables and fields you want to export to Power BI.


You can see all the list of tables and fields by clicking on this link Tables and fields for export


After creating a connector, you will be taken to a page with a list of all connectors, where you can copy the link to the connector you need for export or edit the connector


Note: in order for you to successfully export data to Power BI, you need to create a credentials

Clicking on the Create Credentials button.


On the page that opens, enter Login and Password, which you will then use in Basic auth in Power BI


Copy the link to your connector to use it in Power BI


  • Launch Power BI Desktop
  • Click Get Data-> OData feed
  • Paste the URL into the input field
  • To authorize Power BI Desktop select Basic and enter your email as a username and API Token as a password
  • Select the required plates and click Load
  • After importing data into Power BI Desktop, you can start working with it
